Assessment & Diagnosis

We provide New Zealand’s most comprehensive and in-depth assessment of child ADHD and Autism using cutting-edge and scientifically proven qualitative and quantitative techniques, delivered by world-class experts. That’s why Bay Paediatrics is proud to be the only New Zealand children’s clinic presenting at the 2025 ADHD World Summit in Prague.
Nothing is more important than getting it right first time, every time. So we move faster, look deeper and go further to give you clarity, certainty and confidence about your child’s neurodevelopment health.
Our assessments also include Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability and General Paediatrics.
Medication

We are one of the few clinics that truly provide a specialised ’all-in-one’ for your child’s neurodiverse health. This means we can immediately prescribe ADHD medication for your child if required.
Other specialists (e.g. Child Psychologists) might be able to diagnose ADHD, but they do not have the power to prescribe medication. This means many family still have to endure a lengthy wait in the public healthcare system even if they obtain a private diagnosis.
If medication is a suitable option for you, then you can also obtain your prescription from the Bay Paediatrics Clinic. This means you can quickly move forward as a family with confidence about the future.
Coaching & Support

Bay Paediatrics delivers the EPIC Families programme. EPIC stands for Extraordinary Parents & Incredible Children.
We give families practical, useful guidance, support and tools that will make a real difference at home and at school. This includes the EPIC Families podcast, events, online community and learning resources.

We are the only private clinic in New Zealand that uses the internationally renowned ‘QB Check’ digital ADHD assessment tool. This provides a next-generation, unbiased evidence of your child’s neurological health.
A wide range of qualitative and quantitative diagnostic techniques are used to comprehensively assess your child’s condition.
If medication is required, we can also prescribe this during your diagnostic appointment to save any painful delays and allow you and your child to embark on a treatment journey immediately.
